Learn How to Import PST Data Files into MS Outlook
MS Outlook provides you an option to save the backup of the data it contains. You can save emails, calendars, contacts, etc in your local PC as PST files. Users can selectively import PST file into Outlook or transfer the entire data in 2019/ 2016/ 2013/ 2010/ 2007 versions.
Why Import PST Files into Outlook?
Step 1: Launch Desktop MS Outlook application on your computer system.
Step 2: Click on File and select Open & Export>> Import/Export.
Step 3: Then, choose the option Import from another program or file from the Import and Export wizard dialogue box and click on Next.
Step 4: After that, select Outlook Data File (.pst) from the window that appears on the screen and click on Next to continue.
Step 5: Now, choose the Personal Storage Files (PST) from the Import Outlook Data File dialogue box and select the option to duplicate the items or not, and hit the Next button.
Note: In case your PST file has been protected by password, then enter the credentials and click on OK.
Step 6: After that, select the folder from where you want to transfer the file and click on Finish.
Step 7: In left pane of mail, create a new folder. Now, drag and drop all of the mails in the folder
By following all of the steps mentioned above, users can easily import PST files into Outlook along with all of its details. Importing attachments is also possible with this safe and secured procedure.
